GROUP EXHIBITION ON THE RESIGNIFICATION OF CRAFT IN ISABEL HURLEY

With the aim of analysing the incorporation of craft techniques into contemporary art, the Isabel Hurley Gallery in Málaga presents Manos, materia y memoria (Hands, Matter and Memory), curated by Alicia Ventura, on view until mid-month. This group exhibition re-signifies the traditional role of craft and its historical association with the domestic and the feminine.

NATALIA CASTAÑEDA AND THE GLACIERS AT ISABEL HURLEY

Aiming to explore Natalia Castañeda’s (Manizales, Colombia, 1982) personal experience through her archival and emotional artistic practice, the Isabel Hurley Gallery in Málaga presents Piel de glaciar (Glacier Skin). In this exhibition, the Colombian artist displays her intimate body of work inspired by her relationship with the mountains—especially glaciers—and all their significance.

IN MEMORY OF ALBERTO BOREA AT ISABEL HURLEY

Isabel Hurley Gallery in Malaga dedicates an exhibition as a tribute to Alberto Borea (Lima, Peru, 1971- ibidem, 2020). El negro estuvo aquí (2008-2013) goes through his last five years of production through a selection of representative works that were part of the solo shows Ruinas y ciudades, Mountains of America and Turista El Dorado, all of them exhibitions that the Peruvian made in this same gallery, in addition to the proposals made to be exhibited in Volta NY 2011 and ARCO 2013.
